Hey everyone,

Allow me to introduce myself.

I'm a 15 year old dutch kid, and I got hit by car on Friday to weeks ago.
I got a broken clavicle out of it, and I promised myself to learn Painter once I could use my arm again. Well, that time has come, and I'm looking for someone to teach me.

I've found that looking at tutorials doesn't help me as much as actually talking to someone about the subject. I have some skills in coloring artwork with Photoshop, in a style that is similar to modern comics (Liquid! and Hi*Fi for example).

I'd really appreciate if someone could help me out with this.

Thanks for looking!

Hi Nerdface,

Sorry to hear about your accident but it's good to hear you have your arm back in use again.

I teach Painter at TutorAlley Forums. The site is devoted to Painter and all things related to learning and enjoying Painter, with public forums for all members and private forums for classes.

Come visit us and we'll give you lots of help. If you want to get serious and enroll in my classes that's OK too, but you'll still get a lot just by participating in the public forums.

The URL is:

http://www.tutoralley.com

We're new, and you can help us out by posting lots of questions to get more activity going! Smile

(Then you can come back here and show off your new found Painter expertise!) Very Happy

Hi Nerdface,

I must be way out of touch as I though everyone in Holland rode around on bicycles due to the fact that the land is very flat Rolling Eyes

I'm very relieved that you are well on the way to recovery. I think the therapeutic nature of drawing and painting is is often forgotten, and I remember that when I was in a period of depression a year or so ago, it was painting in Painter which gave me the lift needed to send those blues packing.

If you haven't alredy done so, please feel free to check out the free Painter resources on my site; Click here
I can also highly recommend Jin's Tutoralley classes and forums (url in previous post), and Jin's Pixelalley resources and links for everything Painter related; Click here

Painter can be an overwhelming application to learn, but I think the key is not to try and learn everything at once. Just concentrate on a small topic, keep practicing, then move onto the next topic.

David
