Here's my first attempt at painting with a wacom tablet. It's still not finished, I need some C&C... perhaps something wrong with the legs....
I'll put some highlights on him after I've finished the overall shape.

Looking good, I had to study it for a while to give any crit.
I may be wrong but feel that the legs look unbalanced: the (his) right hip joint is higher than the left and the left knee looks too low compared to the right.
Also (I know you said that the highlighting would come later) I would put in some reflected light on the right side of the torso like you have on the inside of the left arm and leg.
I think that you and your wacom will have a beautiful relationship.

I put some lighting, it was another version of the alien when I posted. I'll try and fix the legs.
