Hi

I'm not sure, but I may have posted one or two of these before. Some of it is pretty old. Please excuse the big download...

What up Francis...

I like the sketches....the one of South American Indians and last pix are my favorites. You have a knack for organic stuffs...I would like to see more of this kind of things.....as for flying vehicle stuffs....the design is reminiscent of someone's work...with extending wing/panel like contraption. Don't know where and how this got started, and believe this is becoming kind of fad. I think you're beyond that.

Amazing diverse stuff Francis. What's your favorite medium out of interest? I've got to say I like your linework the most. Smile

Hey I'm glad you guys like this stuff! Very Happy

d.a.r.y.l. - thank you; the first one is watercolor, the rest are markers (Trias).

magicpen - hm what else you got in there?

zenonithus - actually I just finished a short story for Metal Hurlant. I don't know when it is supposed to be in print though.

Ed - thanks for the comments. Yeah the ships are not too original; I was looking at Doug Chiang's site, at the "How I Work" stuff with the marker sketches. I wanted to try that approach. So the end result is a way watered down Doug Chiang sketch with boring space ship design. Unless you're talking about someone else...? Glad you like the more organic stuff - to be honest I think I do too.

PhatTexta - well we both have been at it a while, but I would have to say that his stuff is an influence on me. But there are a lot of guys before him who even he would say are influences (Joe Johnston, Nilo Rodis-Jamero, etc.).

requiem on acid - hehe thanks. That login name makes me curious... Cool

gezstar - I don't know that i have a favorite medium. All I know is I only really know how to use pencil, Trias, or Photoshop.

Max - thank you.

Shin - thank you too.

Bye!

ooops, I am a bit late. but this stuff kicks arse Francis!!!
perspective and detail is insane on some of these. so tight. and yet you can still draw anatomy and make faces seem alive...something which is rare. a lot of the time artists seem to stick to one thing and shy from the other if you know what I mean. it really adds that sense of completness to your work.
I can't wait to see ur full sequentials. very inspiring.
