Anyone else been following the development of this game anxiously? http://www.eve-online.com I've got to admit I rarely play games anymore as I tend to bore of them really quickly, and have never gotten into any MMPOG's before, but the premise of this one just fascinates me.
It's due to release May 6 now...can't wait. |

Yeah, looks sweet. Want to form an axis of poo with me, dedicated to the eradication of all non digital artist lifeforms in the eve universe? |

I use to play Dark age of Camelot....MMORPG can easily become an habit =/
so I try to take a distance with those games.......games where you have to commit can be bad O_o because if you don't spend a certain regular amount of time commiting to it it leads you nowhere......vicious circle....
BUT!....these games ARE fun though...with all the new concept been thought out... O_o;

the last one looks pretty sick....sucks their official page seems to be down, that game will be fucking awesome.................anyway....... _________________ I touch myself only where it counts

Didn't I play this game before? Wasn't it called Elite? Oh wait.... that wasn't online. I guess now we can all look forward to getting PKed by pimply faced 14 year olds.

freelancer just came out, its kind of like eve-online. It was suppose to be an mmorpg but they abadoned the idea; the multiplayer is still really fun though . ive played it a bit and love the game. i think they also have a demo for download http://www.microsoft.com/games/freelancer/
if your into these kind of games, definitely try it out |

don't waste your time hehe
i have heard many rumors about eve-online becoming the next anarchy online in terms of being too buggy and getting rushed out the door. i sure hope not though cuz I was anxious about it myself.
i enjoy freelancer's fighting thoroughly. cept, all the NPCs, no matter what voice, all say the same EXACT lines. I feel like a fortuneteller when i go land anywhere. But the combat is SPOT ON. i love that. once i finished singleplayer story I'm afraid I'll never touch it again.
so to both those games I guess I'll have to say, just skip 'em or rent 'em or get 'em used. _________________ behemoth devblog |

I played the freelancer demo... Im not at all impressed. the spaceship design is godawful (whatd they use for reference? lawnmowers and sewing machines?), space combat is rather boring (too actiony for my taste, its the typical jousting thing... head for the enemy full speed, guns blazing, turn, repeat until boom) and the dialogues... uuahr... they make your brain go mushy.
and eve.... well, the release has been moved back (as expected), still not sure... |

God forbid! I think he was involved in making the opening cinematic (which looks really good), at least from what sketches Ive seen. And I really do think that the spaceships look awful by todays standards... at least when compared to what the guys from volition used to come up with. |
