i tried few divx softwares but everytime i past it in ps its a black screen
help please? |

not the best method i'm sure, but this works for me.. but i'm sure someone knows a better way
play the divx in Windows Media Player if you can, get to the scene you want captured and make the video fullscreen and hit Print Screen..

thats because most of the videos noadays are played by using videocard hardware. In order to capture it, you need to make your computer play it using your CPU.

http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net/
Download Virtual Dubb. Open it, open the file in it and you can save Jpgs, segmented parts of the movies to later make into Gifs.. whatever.
This will let you go frame by frame. |

try 'quick screen capture' (get it on cnet) - it can do hardware video... not sure about the license though, it'll probably run out at some point. |
