This is another one of my old drawings (probably a lil more than 2 years) that I am trying to put into photoshop and paint Smile
It's good fun and I just happened to like this guy out of the pick of the litter.
Right now I am trying to block in things (you can see my garbage sketch still present which I will cover up later when I get to it). Colors are going to be changed (I don't like the ground color... too blah). The dragons head is going to be on the left. I was going to add another dwarf in the back by a fire just to fill up the space in the back Smile
And the rocks I am still working on but any suggestions/help would be nice right now as I can crit myself only to a point where then I can't see things as you all do :/ And I am having problems with the spear he is holding... (shading/color/lighting). Light is coming dimly from above (blocked partially by overcast). And I have a feeling the eye level was off in my original sketch I did it from :/ (hence the reason why it looks sorta going uphill in a sense) probably shoulda been at his chest or so. But not like its for anything serious just a lil fun.
Heh it's probably crap to some (or all). Here it is.

and my horrible old sketch

Well here is an update of it now. Blocked in a little more and added a lil more shadow here and there as well as changing some colors around.
Smile

Maybe this is more suitable for C & C from some ppl now :p
I might just stop here anyhow because I don't think this old drawing isn't interesting enough to continue with. Just looks unappealing to me :p Guess I will ditch the restoration project lol well maybe another half hour more or so :/.

I like the dark choice of colors, the mountain background looks very interesting.
It's hard to tell if the Orc has eyes or if his helmet is covering them. Also can't tell if the dragon-like creature is dead or getting ready to chomp on his ass.
I guess it all leads down to the requirement of more detail. Razz

Thx Dark for your response Smile
Right now I don't know if I want to stick with my old drawing (as much for the orc) because in the drawing he had 'shades' on :p and I think if I did that it would set them out of place (like having a rolex in a midieval setting).
Instead of having a dead dragon I was going to have the dragon be tamed (as if it was the orcs taxi) because the dragon wasn't in the original but I felt I needed another character as to make it not as lonely out there for him :p
Don't get much time to work on it but the little time I do I try and work as quick as I can on it. Might just make it wider to fit in more things (such as a seat strapped onto the neck of the dragon or something).
Thx for commenting Very Happy

I like the swamp palette, the mood is nicely done.
Agree with DarkVVulf about more details, I think a bit grass/marshland texture on the ground and some rockier/hard look for the mountains would be cool.

look forward to see more of this. Smile

Hmmm... maybe give the mountains a darker color? o__O

And some extremely dark colors for the background to give it a bit more creepy look.

Also, I'd put a bit of blood on the weapon and also on the dragon. It seems odd that there's no blood, given the size of that creature!

And I'd make the orc's eyes stand out a bit... maybe orange, yellow or red even...

Thanks for the good comments Very Happy
Hunago: I'll do some texturing on the ground and fiddle with the mountains a little bit. I have not as much time as I want for working in photshop (just got out of work hehe), but mostly because I draw alot more than working in photoshop (maybe I should post soon heh). Those mountains and also the closer rocks on the sides (both piles) still need lots of work Smile (bah!) heh

Yuri: I didn't want to make them too dark but I will see :p was trying to give them the appearance of some moisture in the air in front picking up some light a lil. Thanks for info of what I should do with the dragon hehe.
My first idea wasn't to even have the dragon but I thought he needed something else with him, maybe a companion or something but maybe he can be the lone mini orc dragon slayer lol I will see what I can do :p

Thx guys for the comments once again. I enjoy them all Very Happy

Eh well.. the mountains don't have to be too dark! Smile

But even though there's moisture in the air, the parts of the mountain where the moisture isn't so intense, should be a bit darker. This is my opinion(u don't need to listen to it) is that there should be a bit more variation in the color of the mountains. -__-;;

Anyway, if u want to put in a living(instead of dead lol) dragon as his companion, perhaps u could use brighter colors instead.

I think the dragon and orc could use a richer color so as to stand out a bit more. Wink Like... the orc gets a slightly brighter and more intense green color. And the dragon maybe gets a dark reddish-brown color? And how about slightly more intense greyish colors on its' pupils to make it look really really dead? Not that there's anything wrong with how its' eyes look right now!

Still, I'm eager to see the next version. XD
