he just said he traced the outline. :p

any ways.. since you traced the outline, Im glad you said that outright, so that nobody can come back at you.

Id personally like to see a non-traced version but thats me. Other than that, I have no critiques I think your technique is nice and clean and you seem to understand color and light well enough, good job. Smile

Kick ass.

The "outline" is so incredibly vague and simplistic that it serves no purpose other than to get the composition set before pushing forward. It's far less of a "shortcut" than use 3D models, which is common practice.

I think it kicks ass.

This is more then impressive, man that's INCREDIBLE
Tracing is absolutely okay. This is the best example. WOW!!
Did you use photos for the texures or are they painted also?

Looking at this, I'd say every bit of texture on this piece is completely hand painted...

great work, this is just perfect! I love the side of his head where his skin is still visible through his hair. Texturing is awesome as well. Smile
