I am looking at grad schools, and thought I'd post something here to see what you all think. I am looking to enter a program for figurative painting, and was just curious as to what schools offer a good program in that field. Advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks a ton man I've heard of RSAD, but not Georgia. I appreciate the info. I've heard allot about the New York Academy of Art. Everyoe says it's the best, but it costs like $30,000 with living and all. That's a little expensive for me but who knows lol.... Thanks a ton

Pick up a copy of American Artist magazine and look at the schools advertised. That's a good place to start. |

Yes the New York Academy is good, but there are plenty of schools that have excellent painting programs. They just aren't university programs. The upside to that is that you won't have to give an arm for tuition. Try THe Florence Academy of art it has no degree but it has an incredible program, Check out www.artrenewal.org they have a listing of a TON of schools that will probably fit the bill |

hey everyone!
Thanks a ton for the info. I really appreciate it. I have heard of the Florence Academy before, and as I recall, it had a very good program.
