Was sitting at work today and, in-between crashing laptops and broken microphone setups, something dawned on me. I'm 22. So what? Well, thing is, I remembered that my bro got married at 22. This kinda sent me into a panic, which is odd, because it's not really something I've thought about...

Anyway, as there seem to be a couple of topics on the subject, whereabouts did you guys meet your g/fs and b/fs? The vast majority of my mates met people in pretty wierd places (e.g. Tai Chi class, Beer festival, Jazz band...)

The pastor of my church lives on the side of a big hill. We were sledding down the hill and snowmobiling back and forth for a youth event (I am the youth pastor) anyways she is his neice so she came over and I met her, but she was pretty shy so I just tried to befriend her. After that I didnt see her again for almost 6 months. then one day she phoned me up and asked if she could come to youth, I wasnt abou tto deny her the opportunity (or me) so when she came I asked her out and we developed our relationship since then... and now, 1 and 1/2 years later Im asking her to marry me.

Ahh, it was love at first sight, Our eyes met across the room, without a word spoken, we lusted for each other, with no hesitation our lips met and for that night of passion was the greatest night of my life.

Then i took my beer goggles off, and saw her, or it, or whatever it was

i think theres a lesson there

hopefully I'll be able to say 'In choir', in the future (I have someone in mind I'm single for now, though)

hmmm odd story actually... 4 years ago, I was going to meet an online friend whom I'd never met before... we both lived in sweden... she (from america) also hung out in the same IRC channel, and I'd spoken to her maybe once or twice... so unknown to me, she was visiting our mutual friend when he came to stockholm to see me, so ba bing, it was love at first sight =)

We decided we were a couple around 2 years ago... we've been going back and forth to see each other all the time, and she spent the summer with me here in Dublin, and is coming to Stockholm over new years...

so if anyone wants to sponsor me so that I can get into the states, it'd be greatly appreciated

She was a friend's girlfriend and I kinda stole her on accident. :/

Now, we're engaged after nearly 4 years of being together.

Btw, congratulations Awetopsy!

I met my boyfriend at a company picnic. I didn't even work for this company anymore but I love the company and made many friends and important networks there.

I was walking to the carnival rides and I saw him hanging out with his friends and thinking he was so hunky (who uses that work anymore??? anyway...)!

He didn't notice me (boooo!) but I really wanted to meet him. So I gathered up the all the courage I could muster and walked up to him - "Hi, I saw you a while back and wanted to meet you..." I told him my name and discovered a very sweet guy under that hunkiness (a rare find indeed!)!

It's been about a year and a half and I love this man to bits and pieces! We're getting married next year!

See ladies - I encourage you all to do the approaching when it comes to meeting guys! I know guys dig it!

Here's the story about how I met my last girlfriend...
We both lived in Winnipeg at the time. She did a radio interview with me in french, a language I had not spoken for 10 years. (I was working on comic stuff for SW episode 1)
Big sparks flew...
The next day she called me up and asked me out for lunch. 3 days later I asked her to move 2000 km across the country, and move in with me in Vancouver! First we spent the summer flying back and forth to Ottawa, where she was hosting a show for 3 months, then we drove all the way to our new home in Van.
We were together for 2 crazy years.

If that wasn't a whirlwind romance, I don't know what is..

My last girlfriend was the quiet, offbeat new girl in school, and I was the arrogant jerk. Time passed, we got to know each other better, she opened up and I mellowed out. Then, we started working on the school play together, she as the lead, I as the love interest. Things took off from there. It was shaky at first; I did lots of stupid, callous things, but I came around and it worked out. It was beautiful, for a while. Unfortunately we broke up near the end of our freshman year in college, and things are very delicate between us now. But I'll always love her.

I met my b/f when I was in 7th grade. It was at a cross town high school football game. He was in Band with the high school and I was a cheerleader for the middle school ( so both of us had to be at the game). He was dating my best friend's older sister (that lasted 3 days).

He was in a few of my brother's classes so it was easy to invite him to parties we had. He did sound for school concerts (so I knew he would be there) and my brother was in vocal and drama so my mother made me go to his concerts ( so he knew I would be there), but nothing happened. He thought I was to preppy for him and would never date him, and I thought he wanted someone older.

It wasn't until my Freshman year at a Sadies dance (girls ask guys) that I ran into him again. He had came with one of my friends and I came with a football player from the rival cross town school. His date took off with another guy and mine had to leave for work. Well a stink bomb was let off and the dance was closed so him and I went driving around for awhile.

He then asked me if I want to go out with him to dinner... one thing lead to another and we've been together for about 4 years now.
