Hey all. This is my first post to the new forums. And also my first digital matte painting. It's something for a school animation project I'm doing for my Masters Thesis.

I really like the yellows you used above the clouds. And the clouds themselves are quite interesting. It may just be the compression that is doing this, but the gradient lines bother me a bit. Also the clouds on the lower left side are a little strange looking.
I don't know if you're planning to add an area of detail or not (as a matte painting I'm sure you're putting something over it), but I think it needs a subject to draw the viewers eye. But overall it's looking good.
