When it comes to religion I am a very skeptical person. Once I thought up of a best way to describe what i feel in words, and it would be best put as this:
If an Indian child is born and raised in a Hindu believing family, chances are they will be exposed to what is considered 'the truth' by their family from day one, thus growing up to be a devot Hindu. But what if .. .

What if that child was taken at birth, and put into a christian believing family? I would be willing to bet money the would grow up to be devot christians, rather than a hindu. Say this person believed so much, they went around telling everyone why they are going to hell. A friend asked me once, do you believe in god and the bible? I told him no, that the bible was written by *people* who more than likely wrote the book to manipulate people. I then told him the thought of creation is 'outrageous' because obviously, nothing appears out of mid air, whether it be a person or a sony playstation
This friend then got a very hurt look on his face, let out a deep sigh and told me he felt sorry for me, and hoped i changed my ways. I call him a 'brainwashed religious', because he spits out exactly what his church priest says.

I think religion is in a sense, a hole for people to hide in from reality. Think about it, whats the answer for almost any religious quest? A)God is the main creator
B) God has been around since the begining of time and c)God forgives all, but then sends you to hell anyway :P Its the best i could explain...as i look at religion from a very scientific point of view.

The big bang theory: In a nut shell, the universe exploded from a hyper-dense mass the size of a pinhead, into what it is today. Yeah? And? So how long has this cycle been going on? For all we know the universe has been around longer than we couldu possibly comprehend, if it follows this endless cycle of exploding, developing, getting sucked back in, repeat.

The animal aspect: (take with a grain of salt) Where do animals go when THEY die? Heaven? Obviously not, since they never attended a day of church, said a prayer, conffesed their sins, etc. I think the evidence for evolution is overwhelming, when you look at apes, us, alligaters, whatever.

Wow, I'm rambling, i could write a whole book on this, hehe . . . i just felt i had to display my thoughts and feelings =)

I guess you tend to glorify everything a bit don't you.

When you said that dhabih is the best digital artist in the world I must either question your judgement or your abilities to see clearly what's before you.

Dhab has the best digital art forum around but he is not the best digital artist on the world common.. look around.

He draws cool stuff and maybe you like it very much but even I can make out some little quirks in his pictures and I am not even a real artist.

I don't think dhab would say of himself he is the best digital artist around either.

Do you know spoogedemon (aka craig mullins?)
or just look around in this forum (fred flick stone etc..) there are MANY extremely talented artists around.

Its pathetic to believe that if you are of a certain faith you could draw better.. this is what you say basically.

search a bit and open your eyes... don't make the same error that so many made before you...

try to see the world without a filter, see whats there and not what you think or have been told SHOULD be there or COULD be there.

As u say, i should watch to the world without filters...

It could be strange, but it's what i'm actually doing...

The only reason lets the people don't understand the Baha'i Faith is superstition.

Many people judicate this Faith without reading A word of Baha u llah...

Before deciding Baha i Faith is the truth or not, acquire knowledge about it...

Understand what He wants to say...

I say that Dhabih is a great artist cuz he's a Baha i,
just cuz i've examinated the Word of Baha u llah without any kind of prejudice...
and i've decided He says good things.
An then, He says that all the arts, the sciences, comes from God...

I don't need to examine the message of any faith because I did not say anything about a particular faith.

I say that people that pray to budda are not better that people that pray to Jehova. And people that pray to allah are not worse than those that believe in your faith.

There are good and bad people in every faith.
There is no such thing as the ultimate faith that only brings up good people.

I think exactly THIS (I mean to say that one faith is better than the other) is the biggest error you can make.
This behavior leads to isolation from one another instead of sharing a community.
And isolation has often lead to war.

I know that faith can make you endure things that you otherwise could not, but it does not change matters if its the faith in god, the faith in love, the faith in life, the faith in justice or the faith in yourself...

Some time ago I wrote a few lines and I still find them to be very true:

God is not there to cure illness
God is not there to still hunger
God is not there to cure pain
But God is there when you ask questions no one can answer.

You can see this in different viewpoints and in everyone it gives you something.

I don't believe in this physical manifestation of a god that makes you better, faster, healthier, smarter,.. or draw better.

Please sorry me if i seem to believe that Baha i Faith is better than others - it's not what i believe. I believe that all Faiths come from the same God.

this is basically what I've decided for my beliefs. I believe in a single deity who is the creator and etc. you screw up - you get punished for it - not necessaryily immediately, but you get punished for it...and vica verca

I have 1 question though involving adam and eve:

what would've happened if they ate from the tree of life instead of the tree of knowledge? I think there was a tree of life too...can't swear to it though. heh, oh well

i think if you just believe that there is one "divine entity" who created us all and lead a good life, you dont need anything else to get into heaven (if thats where you believe youre going).

i think people totally blew religion out of proportion, and many use it as a crutch. like, alot of people nowadays believe in god because of fear, or because they feel more secure thinking theres a God who is controlling what happens. but i dont believe god intervenes with our earthly life at all, i dont believe he saved the old woman who didnt die of cancer, or the little boy who almost got run over...i believe thats just how things worked out.

plus people either rule out God, or question how he could allow negative things to exist, or why things happen like they do. well, just because our feeble minds cant figure out such a thing as God, doesnt mean we should discount it. and like i said before, i think its dumb of people to say stuff like "god, why did you take my dad? what did he ever do?"....god didnt take him, your dad died because thats how it worked out. i think god just set the universe in motion, and is sitting back and letting his creation develop and grow themselves.
