This is funny. Someone is currently redesigning their site with graphics and code from my html site. They are currently working on it now. I'm going to let them finish before I drop a bomb on them.
Their site:
http://www.geocities.com/sacrilegivm/index.html
My site:
http://www.mindsiphon.com
I like how they put a copyright notice on the index page and how they forgot to change the title in the html

Flatterring? Most certainly.
Scrupulous? Far from it.
Make sure you contact all relative parties on their site when you drop the bomb. If they all have a "fuck you" consensus, then contact Geocities directly and inform them of a violation of intellectual property by someone using their hosting services. Use diplomacy - stay in control. _________________ - Tom Carter

Our humble and creative webmaster Saerpenturnus finally finished re-designing the entire SacrilegivMwebsite and up-dated all of our vital information and latest achievements. |
latest achievments, the least of which would be ripping off another website...
I guess the web masters creativity...er... ran out? |

I like this quote
Quote: |
Gratefully, we got spounsered by Dark Matter when it comes to manufacture our own personalized merchandise. Therefore, they will be co-releasing with us a pack of longslevees, with renditioned designs, high-quality printings in black cotton and killer slogans directely connected with our Debut Release. |
Let's see... for one thing what's "spounsered"? did these guys just start grade school? Secondly, when you click on the "Dark Matter" link... it's ALSO a geocities site, and the site only seems to be ONE PAGE with only a graphic and an e-mail address... are these guys trying to look impressive by creating a fake group to sponsor them through geocities or something?
And yes... stealing websites is bad... especially when what you are stealing is the expanded intro page to a website which has unreable text. Geeze if I stole a design I would steal a readable one... or at least change the HTML enough to differentiate the background from the text what's that, 6 letters to replace? ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) _________________ The elves, the EVIL sinister elves! darn them! |

Because they've been watching GITS too many times and are convinced that "the net is vast" thus what are the chances the owner of the original site would surf around here ?
mindsiphon : How did you find that website anyway ? ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

I sent a couple of emails to them and to Yahoo Geocities but I never got a response. Looks as though they did receive my messages as the site has been changed.
I checked my site statistics and that's how I found the nitwits. _________________ Mindsiphon Dark Art |

If this "thing" was an honest business (which might be we never know) me thinks the "brilliant" Webmaster got the boot shoved up past the pleasure point O_o;
and if it was indeed a honest business that could have been some bad publicity for them... so is why they backed out so fast. _________________ I touch myself only where it counts |
