It is for Eilfin Publishing (www.eilfin.com). The most AD&D image I ever did.

By AD&D, I mean standard fantasy. I'm don't think the image actually has anything to do with AD&D at all.

This is a beautiful piece! However I think his magic hammer should have had a more bolder effect, rather then dim lightening ommiting from it. As it is hard to see whats happening there. Lastly, the womens face doesn't seem as detailed as the rest of the figures. Other than that, the background, the colors, the moon, basically the whole feel of the pic is just great!

Socar.. I agree with Germ01. This is a beautiful peice, but that area around the dwarf guys hands is a little unclear and I think its because of that tree directly behind his hands. Also the womans face seems a little unfinished, in fact it almost seems as if the two peopl ein the back arent even looking at whats going on.

anyways. I love your color palette and the composition of this image (except that tree) You do some amazing work. Smile

Awesome work Smile I love the type of art thats going on here.. and the color.. its great..

as all the others said.. its a bit chaotic and confusing around the dwarf's hand and hammer and the tree - All I Can suggest (which might not even work) .. is a darkening of either the characters overall.. or darkening the trees so they seem further off.. eh its hard to say..

Hey, your work is always cool Socar. Smile

However in this picture I see some strange things. I dont know if Im worthy with giving tips so I will simply call this tips.
The Perspective is kind of strange, the Dwarf and humans looks huge if you compare to the trees. The tree in the middle misses a branch which goes down to the bottom and the tree to the right misses leafs.
Maybe that is the thing with AD&D, I dunno, let me know.
I dont want to tear down your picture in any way, but I have stared at this picture now for a long time and these are the things that came to me. And I felt that I had to give a comment. Im not claiming to say that I can paint better, cause I cant.
Nevertheless ts a nice picture. Smile

Hej Socar, your works are always so inspired. Er, I'd like to know what's the use of that "hammer"? Isnt it kinda of too small for attack, hehe.

BTW, I just arrived at Linkping, Sweden. Your country has such beautiful landscapes (I just love those colorful little houses under snow everywher) and you also have so many talented artists like you.
