Here's the latest decent picture that I've drawn. I wish I had more time to finish good pictures, but I'm programming so much now. Finally got a chance to do some line art when my brother asked me to help him draw the cover for his school's poetry book. I did a quick color over as well, then desaturated it, because it looked over done. Color over isn't that great, but here is both colored and lineart:

Very nice! The only crit I have is that it looks like she's missing a leg. I'm assuming your intent was that she is straddling the purple rooty tree thing, but her torso doesn't look like it's twisting enough so the effect is that her left leg is amputated and her left foot has been grafted onto her right leg.
Other than that it's a nice piece though... |

Fongool, yea, I forgot to add the back leg, but I didn't really want her to straddle the tree. I just corrected the colored version, but unfortunately I see no way of correcting the line art. The submission guideline is supposed to be in b+w too.. _________________ -------Wicked------- |

Oh yeah, I see now!
Hmm... I think the main obstacle to what you're trying to do with the legs is that the wrinkles in the skirt aren't doing a good job of indicating what's happening underneath.
If this was an "oh my god, I've got to submit this in fifteen minutes" situation, I'd suggest at the very least making the back foot lighter so you can see the detail of toes (unless you can get away with submitting the color one, then you're fine). If you have more time, reworking the wrinkles a bit to better show off the leg postiton underneath would fix it right up.
It's a nice piece even with the leg issues though. |

Hey MilkMan, Hey Ed! How are you guys? Milkman in Seattle now? hehe cool. Yea, I haven't been doing a lot of art lately, haven't drawn anything except during classes(not art classes either:(). Trying to strangle 3DSMax now, as my game requires models more than anything at this point. Ed a few pointers? Oh, Btw, you did a really nice job remodeling your site, the new works are awesome, especially the red mech. I'll visit paintchat more often.
Fongool, thanks. I guess I can white out the back foot and maybe some wrinkles. Gotta buy some paint now:p _________________ -------Wicked------- |
