This is a terrible question, but I've searched the help section in Photoshop 7.0 and I can't find a way to set the opacity to pressure sensitive (I have a Tablet PC). Also, I'm still essentially a beginner with art, and although I am drawing a lot and enjoying it, I kinda get bored by doing the same things, is there a place that would have good ideas for exercises to expand my subject line? Thanks you

ok dude this should help ya!!

open up the brush window (Windows - Brushes). go to brush dynamics and make sure the opacity jitter is set to Pen Pressure and there ya go!.

do life drawings, its the best way to go!!

Bob, yes, I do have it that way. Do you know why? I barely know anything about it and I barely use it for anything. I still spend just as much money on programs, it's just now I have the ability to learn about the product first. I purchased Alias Sketchpad Pro after trying it out. People may look down on this practice, but just like my music, I like to see what the content is before I buy a big box of hype.

Here's a short answer and a fuller explanation.

The short answer: Make sure you go to Wacom.com and download the tabletPC enhanced driver. Then follow Drklyte's advice

The long answer: the TabletPC doesn not use the same pen interface as the old Wacom tablets (the Wacom tablets use Wintab. The tablet PC's use a new interface called HID that is built right in to the tabletPC edition OS). Photoshop does not know haw to use anything other than the old Wintab interface for reading pressure sensitive input (yet). The tabletPC enhanced drivers fix this by translating the HID input into the older Wintab interface and then pass this on to the program.
