this is my first evah "finished" digital painting i think. i'll probably hate it later but right now i like it. crits and comments welcome. thanks!

thats really really good for a first try. I think you should be quite proud of yourself (much better then my first try...)
The only problems I can see lie on the jacket, I may be crazy, but I think that the "lapels" look a little unfinished. The same sort of thing seems to be going on with the edges near the bottom right of the jacket.

this is a very nice work indeed I like it.
comments: try to give the BG less color so the character is more in the spotlight I miss that in this one.

| I really like the atmosphere here, the lighting I guess makes it kind of revitalizing and sorrowful at the same time, really nice piece |

thanks alot for the feedback. no he is NOT WEARING GODDAMN SWEATPANTS!!!  heheh i've heard that before. i kinda pictured them as old civil war uniform pants (i think they had a stripe down the leg), but its all good. maybe he feels more comfortable in sweatpants
revised a few things based on crits around the net. still not happy with the floor, but its better than last time:
