Hey guys.. It's been months since I've been here. 
I got my free time back recently, and decided to try and sketch something up in Photoshop (using a mouse, unfortunately) and this is what I came up with .. I just wanted to know if it's any good, and if you guys think I should keep working on it ..
It's not much, but it's a start! I know the hand is missing fingers, but it's only temporary 
Here's the basic color layout I plan to use when/if I finish the linework ..
I haven't drawn anything for about 6 months, so any C&C to help me get back on the horse will be welcome .. thanks!  |

Kinda cool. Is this the style you're going for? Or do you just want to get used to the Photoshop tools with this style and move on from there?
You did the lineart with a mouse? Well it's very hard to do that and you did pretty well.
But I don't think it'll ever look as professional as it will if you either use a tablet or pencil drawings if you want to keep the lineart or just block in the colors with the mouse.
I don't like the pose very much ... maybe it would look cooler from a different angle.
I like the weapon but that reptile isn't very intriguing ... maybe that's just me though.

Yeah, I'm going for a cartoonish look. Ignore the color versions, they're just there to give me a basic idea of what shades to use when I plan to color it.

Yeah, with a mouse. I can't afford a tablet right now, which is a shame since I'm much better with a pencil..
This isn't a pose for a picture with a background, since he's just standing there. I'm just trying to come up with some character, and if I'll like the end result I'll draw it in a more interesting angle/setup..
And I'm open to suggestions of what could make him more interesting..  |

I don't know ... I think he looks like a dissapointed 14 year old schoolboy rather than a warrior.
But I guess that's because I'm not a fan of that cartoonish stuff.
The legs are very short.
And you might want to do a search on line weight.
There was a description not too long ago.
