This is an interesting WIP. I get the feeling that the Doc and the wounded soldier were ordered to pose for a picture. Hee hee.
This is where I feel doing a few small sketches/thumbnails help out a lot. To help figure out the composition/poses.
As it is, the drawing is rather odd, as they are looking at us. The doc doesn't seem worried about his wounded. To help bring us in more to the piece, you may try the doc getting right in there with his hands on the wounds, putting pressure down. Having him looking intently at the wound. The wounded soldier screaming upward at the sky, as he's just been shot in the stomach (Twice! ouch!). One of the most painful places to get shot.
Try to stay away from black as your shadowing, this will flatten the peice right away.
Other than that, your doing a good job with color selection. Your not throwing tons of colors down. As they say 'Sometimes less is more.'.
Keep up the good work soldier! |

Hey Mrx, I must have missed this one.
Getting better and better maan.
You are going to be the master of cloth. A tank in the background would be cool.
Keep it up and have a nice weekend.

yea i agree with jHof. Both of the people in the pic look way too nonchalant for being in battle (especially with on of em shot a bunch of times)
but its still a really interesting pic. I cant wait to see the finished v _________________ -Chase |

Sorry I havent responded to this tread or got any work done on this one in awhile been job hunting after the place I was at closed down, god I hate job hunting.
Anyway about the pic you guys are right about the expressions Hahaha now that I look at this does look rather funny. Anyway I think that I will be repainting this one from scratch. I accidentally saved the low resolution one over my original (yes I was drunk and stupid ). Anyway that will give me chance to really do a better job. And get the expression and mood I want _________________ i have seen it all, i have done it all, i can't remember most of it? |
