Hi,

This is my first post on this forum, and the first time I post a digital artwork on a forum. This is a great thread and I hope you all keep posting these beautifull pictures.

at close to 2 hours i dont think it can be called a 'speed painting', but it fits in this propeller thread.
The image does have some significance to me. This beaufighter was my grandfather's who was an RAAF night fighter ace in malta ww2.

Thanks guys Smile Good stuff Myriad, ecsdesign, Hamster, Staff Sarge etc.

And yes I gave up on the second engine.....it's not supposed to have only one. I'm a wiener, I know.

It's a collaborative piece done with Ionionion, with focus on design rather than background, composition etc.

I'll post the evolution of the sketch once I get it split up into a nice .jpg

Sukhoi: In my point of view the lack of detail and color of some parts of the plane makes the image interesting [to me] -- I love it - really. That's a amazing design and technique - great style!!!

hi everyone! Smile

wow! this is wonderful thread because all of you imazing artists! Nice to see that so many of you have participated in this thread. That's something nice. So, I liked to do that same thing and post my helicopter. This is some U.S. Army stuff...

Hey sukhoi, I like much about your design but where is the propeller? Razz That's cool. Or is it inside of those turbines?

ecsdesign: Absolutely nice mood on your pic. Like it a lot.

RAPUNZEL: I like them. Impressive!

Theo: Cool. those are nice.

Staff sarge: Is it the finnish flag there? Wow.

And others too.. I haven't much time to check every piece of this thread. Sorry.

Yay, its alive!

nice work everyone; jubis, did you use a photo for that or is the shading home grown?

and i am beginning to understand the love/hate relationship with painter that some of you seem to have...

Thanks guys. Here's a couple more oldies I did last year. Can't remember how long they took, but suffice to say longer than the P-40 above.
Geez this is fun (yeah, ok, I'm an airplane freek). Sorry about the size.

Yeah, I guess you'd be pretty familiar with them down there.
Been with them about 4.5 years and have been pretty happy.

I take it from your website (nice stuff by the way) that you're from the Great White North. Where 'bouts?
