Here are little somethings that came to my mind when i forced myselfe to use the Copic Markers i bought a year ago. Seems that it needs this amount of time for me to forget how expensive those where, and start to work freely with them.

Battlescissors ( I don't exactly know how to fight with them, but I thought it would be a funny thing to use oversized scissorlike weapons in a battle ; )


This should be a sword able to transform into an axe. (Works this way - http://www.s4sb.org/magira/schwertaxt.swf )

While drawing these a real passion for doing concepts started growing in me - I think I found the direction I want to go on.
So if you have some tipps or something else to tell me: feel free to do so

Very nice sketches. My only real critique is regarding all those excess "guidelines," many of which seem to serve little purpose but to make the illustrations seem more complicated than they actually are. Not saying it isn't successful, but it does come off as a little contrived. Still, great sketches.

nice work, I�ve had the same problem with those Copic things.... they�re just too expensive to experiment with (no they�re not, no they�re not, no they�re not, ).

Very professional. I don't know but maybe the vanishing points are too close together in some of the images. Some of the objects look distorted.

tinusch: Youre somehow right.. These lines are "happening" while constructing the basic shapes with the fineliner (If youre talking about the white lines - they are "useless" for the design itself). I can't say they are unwanted in these technical designs.. but if the others too think they are overdone ill try to do the first step with a tool youre not able to see in the final drawing.

hase: Perhaps we should not think of the money spent on the material as wasted but as investment in our future... Or drink an bottle of antifreeze before we buy our material, and eat up the bills so we can't remeber the price. :wink:

Hi magira,

I like the first image best. I bought a set of tria markers, I'm gonna try them out next week. I like your style, but you might want to use less black, or use it while keeping the perspective in mind. Otherwise it just distracts.
