this is only the primal sketch, as u can see. after almost finishing it, i was looking at the girl and her posture wasn't exactly right. i fixed the hip and legs and now, when i look at it, it still fills un-natural. im not sure it really is wrong somehow, and maybe it's cuz i got used to the bad way in which it was before i currected it, but i still thing that something about her standing\posture is not all right. any comments?

about the stance? proportions? anything?

p.s. - the drum is completely untouched so i dont need comments about it. and her left leg is leaning on a part of the drum that wasn't drawn yet.

peace out

I guess that she's going to fall.
Try getting yourself in front of a mirror and ajust the position for something a bit more natural. Smile

The weight of her body is resting on her stiff right leg, this is incorrect. If she WAS standing like that, she was working hard for it (Do the pose yourself, it feels akward and un-natrual.). I think this is where the look and feel of your pose is hindering.

Her shoulders are also leaning the way of her loose left leg. Once you get the weight back on her right leg, her shoulders will slant down towards her right side. As I stood in the pose, I saw that my right arm's elbow dipped lower than my left arm. Keep an eye on those arms to also help push the relaxed pose.

You may want todo a few more sketches/thumb nails. Do five or six of them in under ten minutes. Keep them loose and quick, you will start to get a feel for the weight of the body. The waist and shoulders will go opposite direction when in most relaxed standing poses.

Hope some of that helps. Keep it up.
