i was just messing with this yesterday.. drew the torso and stuff and screwed around with the head.
didn't feel too good about it till today.. now i am happy~~~~. i've always been afraid of drawing w/out reference but this is a big confidence boost for me. hope you guys like!

i gotta say, i love this... one of the few new pieces i've seen in a while that just really reached out to me (and gave me a big ole fist to the nose)... it's really raw, but has this 'finished' feel to it, in a sense... like doc monkey said, it's not so abstract that it can't be related to...
imho, i'd say leave this as a finished piece... don't clean it up any, as the rawness fits so well with the mood of the piece...
great stuff... |
