My older brother is a vegetarian and he is now extremely overweight. He was thin up until he was around 22 then he met his (current)girlfriend and turned him to vegetarianism - that is when the weight problems started. He's now 30 and my parents are concerned about his weight. And there are no genetic factors on either side of our family for obesity. It makes me very angry.

I don't care to have a neutral opinion on vegetarianism. I think it's a social trend and hope it goes away at some point. A lot of my friends are vegetarians so I've had all the debates you can think of, so theres no reason to attack what I'm saying. My opinion is as valid as yours. Theres too much scientific evidence past the fact that it's "wrong to kill animals" to make me think anything else.

With every step you take outdoors you crush countless organisms under foot . . . lions gorge themselves on zebra and then barf it up again . . . mosquito swarms in the tundra can leave an adult caribou completely exanguinated . . . parasitic flies will lay their eggs in you and then feast on your corpse. Nature is only beautiful from a distance, and through a fog of inexperience. Up close it is ugly, brutal, and terrifyingly resourceful.

Admire it, but realize that it was a well-oiled death machine long before humans decided we were something other than animal.

I don't really get how people can be "against" vegetarianism. I mean...I just don't see what could be wrong with it. It doesn't cause suffering, pollution or hunger or any of that.

And whats that thing about people getting fat because they are vegetarians? What kind of logic is that? No meat = less fat. Thats a pretty simple scientific fact. Doesn't say anything about that other 90% of your food consumption though.

we've just developed some kind of idiot gland that's made us all think that pre sliced bread, individually-wrapped, color changing Kool-aid, and blocks self-ovulating cheeze are why we're here. Other's say it's the will of a big spooky fat man in space.....Others say that's all wrong and it's a big spooky fat woman in space...as only a woman would be smart enough to make the earth. some say an exposion made us, since exposions are cool.

i dont have anything against vegeterianism. i dont think anyone else does either. the only thing that bothers me is that some vegis think they are higher than meat eaters. some vegis always think they are some sort of advanced life form and they are so sure their way is the right way and they try to convince people- no wait.. they try to force their more 'humane way of life' to meat eaters. im not saying all vegeterians are like that, but some. those are the ones i have a problem with. they tell me im evil for eating meat. wtf? i dont tell them what to eat, so what's it their business what i eat.

Any time someone mentions the whole "Well plants are living things too!" debate to me, I bust out laughing. quite literally. I usually cannot stop laughing for some time when somebody says that.

Similar with the leather debate. If I want to go outside wearing a rotting pig's foot necklace I will. Maybe I'd like to take a bacon grease bath? Doesn't have a damn thing to do with my diet. And besides, its not like the people who ask these questions even care, they just do it to be annoying. I couldn't care less about what people think about me or the food I choose to eat. The only thing I care less about is what other -other- people are eating. Its just food. And my food just happens to be meatless. And I like it. (not only that but I'm one of the healthiest people you'll ever meet according to my doctor, so I laugh at the nutrition debate too).

ents rock. i played a spider/evil priest/lord of chaos combination Ent in batmud for a long time.. it kicked ass. considerably big total experience worth, good equipment, one of the best loc blades in the game. death machine. self healing, wrath/poison blasting/harm casting hard hitting (tear/incise with short blades without +damage eq or dam demon.)

The easiest way to get everything you need to survive food-wise is to eat meat. And sometimes, the only thing you want to eat is a really good steak.

But then, it's your life. If you don't want to give in to the temptation of a perfectly-done steak, it's your choice.

I knew a vegetarian guy once...he tried to convince me that our teeth aren't meant for eating meat. My aunt's a dentist, so it wasn't that hard to prove him wrong.

Did you think that people really want to even have a serious conversation about their way of life if your only goal is to insult it?
