Sorry for the absense but been busy recently.
I though I would give the GIMP (www.gimp.org) a go to see how it was Wink

. Can't say my experiances were good as the windows version wouldn't work with my table to I had to turn of the table features. I am so used to having opacity for presure that I could cope with changing it manually so I decided to try to paint the whole thing in 100% opacity. Not a particually good one as I felt I was fighting the program all the way but hey I gave it a go Smile

ChiaNi:Egon sheile, That's the name that was floating around in my mind after I saw no.79! cool artist, you've done well to capture his style/treatment. I must say, I very much like the line work in no79. very nice.

looks like this one painting in sijun a long time ago that spooge made a repaint of, a girl in similar position with one eye left in the shadow if i recall.

edit: i just realized you had linked that very picture. i must be a little tired

ChiaNi-these are beautiful images. Absolutely remarkeable. Looks like you studied with Gregory Weir Gaton from LA, or Blui from LA, who recently passed away from Cancer. Both have a very organic feeling in their work, like this. Both praise Egon Scheile and Gustav Klimpt, I see much of this as influence, along with a fashion design artist named Gruau. THis has the spirit of a traditional artist, and the handling of a fashion illustrator. Simply amazing.

Are you doing all these images on a laptop, or are you at home cranking out your 100 self portraits? The portraits look like they were painted in many various locations. All of which are just beautiful.

Powerful, loose, free...I love em...

Lionel, you seem to be getting to know your face like the back of your hand...(or is it the palm of the hand?) Anyways good job.

I never hard about Gregory Weir Gaton from LA, nor Blui from LA. I love Egon Scheile,Gustav Klimpt, Gruau. You are great art master. Look at your outsdenting art. Read your message. I been lean a lot form you.

Now I stay home all day all night. don't have job comeing. So I hit my selfpotrait. I don't have my style yet. still learning. But I am good copy cat.

All these painting I down by mouse in Photo Shop. I try to use painter for a while. Both are good tool. I feel Photo Shop easier to handle.

Novacaptain: Thank you for you kind commend.

Lionel: I like this last picture. It look nice and easy. good eyes. good hand. good light. good color balance.

Gecko: thank you. Yes it is from Spooge painting. You have good eye and good memery. I like your self potrait. loos and free.
Swarm: thank you. I try to do some fun in to these boring self potrait.
