Nice one! The wooden closet's coloring seems a bit dull compared to the great variation of colors everywhere else.

Welcome- just noticed one thing. There is a shadow from a brush mark in the background that is coming down from just above her left brow and comes down past the right side of her lips. Layering problem perhaps. Really well done otherwise.

Lovely work here. I can see that you really do like the old masters paintings. When I first saw it I thought it looked very classical. Love her face. I might agree with Lunatique that it would look nice if the background were a bit more vivid. Perhaps darker too? Very nice work. Wink

they did invent that. Someone is making teflon suits that u can spill stuff on and it just slides right off. But I think they run high on the price scale

Nicely done. Smile

But I gotta agree with Luna on the dresser/closet/wood-thing. It's rendered very well, but it lacks color variation.

Other than that, me likes. Smile

Very nice brushwork - almost looks like oils...compositionally speaking, I'm not sure about those two parallel lines on the left side. Too close to the edge. I liked the background from the orginal Smile

Good work!

Nice and fresh! Colours, dress, time and woman remind me of a very good film called "Quills" with Kate Winslet. Maybe the art directors were influenced by the same Masters?

Not to be overly criticial or anything, as I like the picture itself, but I think you've used too much black in this piece. especially in her face. It looks a bit odd. Oh, and she has 5:00 shadow. Other than that I'm eager to see the end product.
