...are we supposed to discuss here? Theory of design, post work, or just anything under the subject of 'digital art and Gaming'?
Anyhow, I just redesigned my site, http://affected.cjb.net, and if you people (Are there any people here?) would like to comment on it, feel free to do so. |

Take the comma off the end. Here:
http://affected.cjb.net
Got to be careful. I guess there IS a good reason to use the "url" and "/url" tags.

I added this extra forum just as a place for whatever else the regular visitors to my sight want to talk about. I figured most of you probably have similar interests and also i wanted to keep any specific questions to me in the other forum so that people looking for answers could go there with out searching through a bunch of other stuff. Also made this cause a lot of people were starting to use my guestbook to write long messages, and felt this would be a much better place for that.
I'm not sure how all this MB stuff will turn out. I'm just giving it a shot, stuff may change as it goes.
But generally, yeah talk about games, art and other entertainment related things is what i'm thinking for this one

Affected--it looks pretty nice. I'm not generally a big fan of pop up windows, but it worked well for your site. |

I love the design, very inventive. The only real complaint I have is that the buttons on the left don't look right, their perspective doesn't fit with the perspective of the rest of the page. Take a look at the word Affected on the right, it makes the transition from looking up to looking down. But you're looking down at all the buttons.
I realize that's not a very clear discription, but it's the best I could do.

Hey, king, your site's cool, but why TRIPOD? They suck ass. Go with Crosswinds, http://www.crosswinds.net (they got unlimited free disk space forever--if you hurry up) or The Icestorm Notworks, http://www.icestorm.com (they're hella fast, although the space limits to 4 MB)
Anything but TRIPOD, bro... |

Messing up the perspective was a concious decision, I wanted it to be a bit twisted up.
The slider was done using the scroll2 object here: http://www.dansteinman.com/dynduo/
Just have a look at the instructions, or if you REALLY don't want to do any code yourself, there's a scroller machine over at http://fineline.xs.mw that will automatically make a scroller using this script.
Oh yeah, the last I visited Crosswinds, it was VERY slow. Try http://www.redrival.com
It's what I use. 20 mb free space, FTP, FAST servers...
