Dont know about that flying carpet, maybe it would be more clear to me if I know who this Dan fella is!
But the monster and the scenery is jawdropping, I always love your cool style and use of colours! |

Very impressive work Sparth! Very nice form, shading and color work, Love the characters too. The monster design and action is just as impressive!
Perspective bothers me a little bit, but that's fine. =) |

Nice painting. Hyperion and the other three books in that series are among my favorite books ever. Nice touch with the Crosses on his back. I thought in the book the Shrike had four arms? Nicely done, always like your stuff.
I wonder how awesome this piece could be if you spent more time on rendering the details.... Oh well, looks good non the less.
