Yes.. sometimes people tend to think some of the things people from another culture eats are disgusting. Well, when I lived in Taiwan, I tried two things that may sound gross to most people (my family included).
Chicken/duck butt: Actually I prefer duck butt, because it has less fat. Chicken's butts are just too oily for my taste.
Chicken testicles: They're like balloons, with a thin membrane outside, and some kind of starchy liquid inside. They're quite expensive, I've only had it once.

So what's the most gross-sounding but good-tasting food you've ever had? Please share with us.

Surstromming from the north of Sweden (where I grew up), herring that has fermented with a special kind of bacteria, puffing up the tin can so it's like opening a champagne bottle - pffttt - has a very strong and very bad smell, but a completely different very salty and delicious taste... me and my wife were enjoying some of this here on our balcony (in Texas), you wouldn't want to eat this indoors...

...and a couple passing by asked us worriedly if we could smell a gas leak.

well, my relatives eat duck/chicken blood. They said its delicious, i've never try it and i never will

They also find bear and dog tasty, i just think they're a bunch of idiots.

back to the good old McDonald for me.

I am extremely, very, super-duper picky though and I won't eat anything that's even the slightest bit weird. That topped with the fact that I'm now veggie doesn't leave much room for bizarre delicacies like chicken arse.

Jezebel: Twinkies are gross. Actually I think all old pastries and cakes are gross, and I wouldn't call them delicacies..

When I went to my home town of
New Orleans. There was a Indonesian
restraunt a few blocks from my uncles house.
He took me there and ordered
Monkeys Brains.

they actually bring you the head of the monkey.
But the brains inside are cooked.
The head is sort of bowl I guess.

I was like 11 and almost puked when I
saw it. So my uncle made me down alot of
wine and then I tryed it.

It tastes like hamberger and salty eggs.

Jello is the most disgusting food on earth. Boiled down bones, hooves, skin, and animal heads rendered down to gelatin. I don't know why the most disgusting, foul byproducts are always passed off to kids as "treats".
"Confectioner's glaze" (Shellac,really) used to be made of processed beetle carapaces too. It went on M&Ms.

Oh and dr bang. My parents eat chicken and cow or whatever kind of animal blood. IN french it is called Boudin. Basically it is blood cooks with spices .

well, i didnt actually eat it but i was offered by my friend's family to eat chicken brain.

and the sad thing was that, it was a chicken's head on a plate with the skull open on top..

I don't know how you can eat chicken brain, considering the size of their head is so small. Monkey brain would make a lot more sense though, but it's still gross.
Actually, I've had monkey brain before, it tastes like noodles.

Surstromming is the most disgusting thing I have ever eaten. However, one day I made the huge mistake of reading the ingredients to Hot Dogs. THAT'S disgusting.
