the first thing I thought when I saw the picture was simply, damn she must be uncomfortable. fighting in a thong, no better way to ensure atomic wedgies daily.
But aside from the comfort level, my main comment is the guys chest would probably look better without the outlining, it looks out of place with the shading you've done, which looks quite good. I think his left arm (on the right side of the picture) is too thin compared to the other arm. |

Both characters are severely out of balance. Lets say this was a real fight. In half a second from where this picture was taken the guy will have big problems not sitting on his butt. The lady will probably be able to remain standing but she is leaning a little to much forward to be stable. She doesn't need to dodge his kick - he's out of range anyways.
However I like the wrinkles and folding of the cloth!

actually, that was the intention -
1) the guy is spin-kicking. the rotation of the kick is what keeps him balanced. no human could stand like this still without falling.
2) what the girl does is pulling the guy's leg in order to make him fall. it's a move in capoeira when u swip your opponents leg. if he was able to stand after this swip than the girl wasn't doing it right. he needs to be out of balance.
3) i have no excuses about the girl. if she looks out of balance than it's my bad. i do need to work a lil bit on the bent leg to readjust it's position. im not totally happy with it and it might fiz what seems to be wrong to you.
thanks for stating your mind, biochronox. appreciated.
simoom - many of the girls in my group wear thongs. believe me - i checked.
u suggest to drop the artline on the chest? i will try and see how it looks. thanks. about the hand - i am not sure what part of the hand u mean - the wrist or the bycep part. it looks OK to me... ok, maybe the wrist.... _________________ ToPeirA |

Hmm nice picture , but the thong doesn't have a purpose. Feels cheesy .. hmm and if she has her leg that far out shouldn't the pants be for straigten out if you know what i mean, now it feels like the fabric is sucked into her ass _________________ "Remember , the master has been an apprentice also." |

another thing , can't get it why she has her arms like she's hysterical and is about to go crazy , shouldn't the arms be at her left side , shielding her from the kick ? _________________ "Remember , the master has been an apprentice also." |

robust - well, yea. the thong IS cheesy. it is a cheesy thong made to a cheesy purpose
and the arm should be like this. protecting the face which is more important than the ribs, and besides - capoeira kicks are aimed to the head.
andy t - thanks fot the link. didn't know that site. what group is this? the games are really good in those clips. good mix of floreo (acrobatics) and mandingeiro (game-wisdom). thanks.
about the motion - i thought about blurring the leg. im not sure it's smart, though.
HERE is an example of the blured legs -
http://grm.m.walla.co.il/briefcase/0004/a/d/a/r/w/i/n/t/e/r/@/@/@/@/@/@/@/@/@/@/@/@/@/@/@/r/200212192325097300/200301112013099036/rasteira-color-blured.jpg
p.s. - robust - about the sucktion issue in her ass - u r right. it is a lil weird. but it doesnt really bother me cuz the direction of the wrinkles should come from the stich in the pants, and in capoeira pants the stich is in the groin.
here is the fixed pic. very small changes made from the last version -

I don't know ... just the first google search result . If you're interested and don't know that one already you might want to check out the videos @ www.joeeigo.com
The videos are very long though and it's not only capoeira.
Btw ... the link doesn't work! _________________ http://www.conceptworld.org |

You are called Toupeira there?
If so then your art sure stands out there. Good work!
So that is you in the "Toupeira - Salto.mpg"
?

thanks to the guys who stand by me about the poses. i tried to get the poses as accurate as possible according to what i have learned.
and yes - it's me in the toupeira movies and pics. but those are all old. about 3 years ago. i got much better than that. im not proud of what's in the site cuz it's passe . back in da days
and joe eigo do some capoeira stuff, but he is not doing capoeira. he is a physically amazing person but i have no doubt that in capoeira i top him easily, even if my tricks are so weak in compare.
and now that the link i posted in the recent post is on and working - which ver is better? the blurred one or the focused one? _________________ ToPeirA |

I looove the blurred version. But just one opinion is baaad! Hope others will reply too.
I guess the font should be less saturated (or just darker) behind the blurred foot .
His body should be less detailed because his pose isn't static.
Maybe it's possible to get rid of some of the lines? That might help.

Agreed. That's why I didn't post a link to his site for capoeira clips.

Thongs are great for martial arts -- there's no extra fabric to rub around on the thighs. Especially when you do a lot of kicks and sweeps that require a lot of flexible movement in that area.
Very cool T-shirt. |

andy t - i have a big problem. "hi. i'm adar and i'm in love with my material
i like the way his body turned out and since it's gonna be on a shirt and some of the colores and details are gonna fade i am afraid of ommiting details from his body.
nd capoeira is a great fun. in front of an audience too. soon more clips of me will be added. if u like i can send a link to ya.
and thanks, mg mui, for sanding out bout the thon isses. i agree, though i am not wearing thongs.
i did not work from a picture or ay reference besides my capoeira knoledge. if i worked from a picture this pic would prbobably come out much better. _________________ ToPeirA |

I totally forgot about this thread. I think you don't have to change anything. Is it too late anyway?
