The first time I tried such a lighting, and no speedpainting in that way, about 2 hours trial and error. Inspired by Craig Mullins bomber-pic in the propeller thread.

yeah, he's trying to save the world so he ..abstained from military drafting etc and chose to go to a "jail" for 5 months(?). one jail that is, they get free tv, fridges, food, etc, to their rooms. grr. not to mention out of the free food he only eats the grass stuff....

sleepwalker, you're doing great! I'm amazed at your color choices, mine still looks rather bland Sad

i'm starting to get the hang of this speedpainting stuff! i'm liking it

quick question for anyone who might be able to answer. after getting past the speed painting part, if the composition and painting is feeling right how exactly does one go about tightening it up to a final peice. i can get the main stuff down fairly quickly, but i don't know how to go about finalizing the painting. i know its probably a pretty dumb question, but any help on technique would be sweet! thanks

...deemed a failure.. doens't look like me but shrug. at least i got the proportions sorta ok this time. sans the eyes. or the other eye. they're moving. i just.. can't work with colors that look like skin in normal sunlight conditions, i find these semi earth tones so much easier to work with.. or.. contrast. shrug. i dunno. not to mention the tones are horrid around the right (left) eye.. the purple.. can't figure out how to work them shadowy tones at all.. such a loss. *gag*

fuckit. 07:44, crayons+leaky pen+airbrush thingys in painter.

Cobaltblue: Love those characters...

Gecko: Went to your site, really cool stuff, that b/W dragon with torn wings and tail hitting the ground was amazing!!!
