Something is really bugging me about that face. I think the cheekbones are shaded too dark, it separates them from the rest of the face. I think it's mainly the right one (his left) that looks off. Aside from that, the pictures look great. You've got this nature stuff down. |

Tinusch - Thanks for the crit! I'm afraid the horse has rather left the stable on these ones, though--the book just came out, which was why I was suddenly allowed to post these very old works. I'll bear it in mind for future renditions of wrinkly cheekbones, though!
Bilbo - Thank you! The borders were really fun to do...I got told a few things to put in, but mostly I just got to put whatever I liked in there. As long as it had something to do with the book, of course.
Matthew - Thank you! Trees are good to paint...I like them.
Max Kulich - Thank you very much!
Simoom - The nice thing about trees is that they're not hard to learn to do...the basic idea, anyway. But then there are many types of trees to master.... (I still haven't got the hang of 'em all!)
nubizus - Why, thank you! I'm most flattered. _________________ Dignity isn't important. It's everything.

Images are nice, but the borders are incredible.
Are they supposed to be all B/W? I generally like to put a subtle color to my B/W images. Great stuff anyhow. _________________ http://www.somniostudios.com |
