Hi, my english suck!
Well, i have scanned a image, how do i color it. Can I in some smart way
make the black strokes as a new layer and have the white transparent and paint under the black?
I hope someone understands Smile

eighter: you clean up the linework and make a new layer st to multiply.on this layer you can paint without destroying the strokes

or: you make a new laer adn trace the old strokes digitaly. then new layer for color.

Don't know if you meant this but maybe it helps,,,...my english sucks too

basically, you want to cut and paste the line-art into a new channel, and colour the background layer. Check out comiccolors.com for tutorials.

the other way is to make a new layer, select Multiply and colour on that layer, it will show the black through it.. thats the way i've always coloured my B+W

this is the way I always paint my drawings... but, I'm a real beginner in digital art, so maybe there are some others ways to do this !
