Hi, I used to post here quite a while ago but haven't in at least a year. I'm a simple 17 year old hillbilly living in Atlantic Canada. Anyways, here's a character design I've settled on, along with it's in-game sprite (this is part of a game project). The drawing will be expanded on, maybe a pen rendition, but at least a digital paint job.
EDIT: Well, I struck a compromise and "inked" the drawing first with my tablet (in Photoshop). I moved a couple of things around too, but all in all I did not spend a great deal of time on this leg of the process.
Comments and critisisms appreciated!

not quite sure what's going on under the nose (the blocked out area) otherwise it's wonderful, I like it a lot. _________________ http://jcaart.cjb.net |

Thank you for the kind comments. I can already see some obvious errors in the image which I intend to clean up with the next iteration. I'm thinking I will just skip the inks for now and paint it. |

He looks much older in the pencil version, with all the skin detailing. I'm not gonna say that I think you need to give him some indication of a lower lip in the inked version since it seems like he's got a really big chin now, but oter than that, both versions are quite good.
Does he have long hair? it looks like he does in the sprite, but can't really tell in the portraits. |
