there is something wrong with my painter..the colors are messed up,they are alll neon colors...the bars the paper..etc anyone can help? i tried rebooting reinstalling still...nothing..

Make sure your display properties are set for 32-bit color.

i set it to 24bit for windows works now.......

| you can still work using 16bit color and get rid of the annoyng neon by going to edit/pref/windows... and put a check mark at the "no device dependent bitmaps" that's just in case you'd rather use 16bit color |

I have to agreed with this. I�ve had painter 7 for over a month and now it�s working. Thanx. 
There�s an another question; (  )I have some strange font in my painter�s menu�s and I was wondering if there is some solution to change that. Does someone know what should I do?
I got some problems with my "fonts"-folder and I think I don�t have the font that painter 7 uses for menus. Does someone knows what is that font and how I can have that? |

i got the same problem. but i didn't change anything with my fonts-folder or whatever. "it came out of nowhere..."

And now everything works?? I wish you remembered what you did... 
I�m pretty sure it�s not about painter�s options. I�m pretty sure that the problem has something to do with my computer and my settings.
But what can I do?? |

Hi,
I used to get that strange font thing in my Painter interface in earlier versions. Don't recall if it's ever happened in Painter 7, but you might try rebooting. That used to work for me, and it can't hurt anything while you wait for a better answer.
