This is my latest work, which I like to call "Colors".

(Sadly, the Manitoba Museum of Man and Nature recently purchased a very similar 'art' piece for approximately 30 million dollars...)

Very Happy

IMVHO, I find the green is too dark as it seems to receed to the back from the other depth value levels. The red is way too predominant. =]

It is short for "(dude) It's Mega Very Hella Obvious."

Plus, the perspective is off.

I am suprised to find that Ian Jones has not added his critical comments which will just re-inforce some already over opinionated verbal jargon that was previously spoken in a similar thread.

Looks great - it's obvious to me that your piece is an interpretation of the ramifications of post cold war unilateralism and socio-economics - a visual but compact representation of current global and ethno-demographic affairs.

I agree completely. Art is a lot more than a simple game.

Assigning price to the purchase was I'm sure complex, and has probably more to do with its and its creators context in history than anything else. Try to learn the rationale behind the piece and the price as opposed to simply saying that someone is dumb.

You may agree or disagree with what you learn, and there is the chance that kinky sexual favors were involved, but I doubt it.

Going to a the Metropolitan Museum of Art with you would be a lot of fun, Mullins. Of course, you're in Hawaii and I'm in New Mexico, but I'm game if you are. Seriously. heh.

I'm sure most of us are aware of that- we were just kidding around, not blaming Wink

The stupidest thing about the whole "million-dollar-pictures" stuff is that privat people are buying them not because they like it so much, they buy for investment or other financial technical reasons ( like real estate investment)
Our luck there are museums which can afford to bid against those people, and the pictures aren't stored in some safe of a guys mansion.

I am sure...

everything can be rationalized...

and appreciated. Its just funny how some things...

can be understood and felt...

without rationalizing. Backstory just adds to an already awesome experience.

Btw. 30mil is hardly notable... some of Picassos "Great Works" have sold for 70.
