hoo! s' been a while.
here's a portrait of a girl (and future private model for me ) whom has been inspiring me alot lately, and I decided to funk it up by making her look like an elf. All good practice since I need to improve on my human drawing skills.
and here's another painting of her in her bellydancing outfit, that i decided to give as a xmas gift, since it was completed on xmas anyway. It's a bit cheezy I know =)
I used one small 100x140, and one 160x120 picture for reference. |

Looks great, good colors, but in the first pic the mouth seems wrong, hangs down on the one side _________________ *

Binke, your works have always been great, and you keep improving
Love both pics and I think you'll get really good by doing this kind of exercises.

Awesome as usual, you definitely are improving. The only critique I have is that you need to lop off that streak on the side of her mouth, it looks a little askew like that. And I still love your warm orangey palette. Mmm. |

your belly dancer looks like she has a very long neck. I think its just her veil obscures her chin, but since you can't really see what's happening there, it looks like some sort of neckwrap. maybe its just me.
they both look great though, the colors on the dancer are purdy. |

I love the colors in your dancer piece, the text seems a bit thrown in, and if it's not requird to be in, my call would be to lose it. The one thing I really notice is how stiff she looks. As a dancer, more so than a typical piece, I would expect a very dynamic posture from the body in this one, rather than a more or less straight standing (al biet at an angle) girl. _________________
