I am new to this site, so hello all. I usually frequent the Megatokyo art forums if anyone from here is there also. I found this site from Merekat's Links. Might I add that alot of you are very skilled and have very nice art here. I took the time to browse through alot of them.

This was originally intended to be an entry for a contest running in the Megatokyo art forums (Sad girl in snow concept), but they seem to be down for the past few days. Anyone that frequents there know whats going on?

Anyway, it was done in 100% photoshop in 1 night, photo refrenced to make the deadline, so I used patterns extensively for the clothes and wood bench. (both custom and photoshop standard) for a rush job, I think it came out pretty well for me.

I like the texture of the clothing, but I would suggest to paint what you see and not make up things. Especially the eyes. Its a beautiful reference photo so you should make it just as good or better. Add something to it and not take away. Your image looks like a doll. I hope it helps I don't want you to take this critique in the wrong way. We are here to help each other.

thanks for the comments. keep in mind it was intended to be a 3d'ish anime style, and to fit a specific theme, that is why I didn't paint exactly what I saw. The refrence photo was to get the pose and lighting down. I do see the eyes need work though.
