Hello,
Currently out of the country so this'll be my only post for the rest of the year, but i thought i'd throw this out. The few moderator leads i had hangin around in my inbox were real old and outdated. So please reply to this thread if you'd like to be a moderator for the forums. Need to take a bit of the pressure off sum and fred. Not sure if this is across all the forums or per forum so if you'd like to moderate, say which forum you would like to moderate if you have a preference. Others who dont want to moderate, if you see someone who has offered to moderate that you are happy with and would like to see moderate, please send me a PERSONAL message saying how you feel. Likewise if you see someone you would hate to see as moderator, please send me a PERSONAL MESSAGE. (In both cases please explain why you like or dislike that person as moderator) PLEASE DO NOT POST FEEDBACK (positive or negative) ON A MODERATER IN THIS THREAD, i dont want a flame war to start. any posts like that will be deleted.
Im not sure how many more moderators we need, but it will probably only be two to five depending if they'll be split across all the forums.
Preference will go to:
Longtime members
Visible members (as in you are a known member of the boards)
People in Europe/Africa or the Americas (due to time zones, both sumaleth and freddio are in Australia)
Non-loudmouths and people who are polite in there posts
Sumaleth and Freddios feedback
Non-trigger happy types.
That just means preference goes to, not that who i end up picking wont end up not having one of those qualities.
thank you for your help!

I'm sure tons of people will reply, but, out of sincere interest for the best of this forum, I'd like to apply for the job.
I was supported fairly widely way back during the small unofficial moderator election held in Random Musings.
As for preferences:
Longtime member- I've been here for three years, and I'm one of the few that registered during that time that still actively post.
Visibility- Who knows about that one.?
I live in New Mexico.
I would say that I am probably both polite and firm in my posts. Again, it's not fair for me to say.
I give constructive feedback on almost everything, in my opinion.
I am a stoic when it comes to panicking over petty issues. so you needn't worry about me jumping the gun on issues. _________________ QED, sort of. |

I care for Sijun more than my family. I really want to be a moderator but .......no more. But i think faustgfx would be a good moderator.

I would like to help.
I have actually been a visitor for longer than my stats say, under a previous name.
I visit pretty regularily and try to give constructive feedback, I have learnt so much from Sijun that I want it to stay as useful into the future.
Let me know if your interested. (yes, I am in Australia... dunno if thats a problem or not) |

Well, I'd like to apply. Mostly for Random Musings forum, because I'm sure there are better people out there for the other forums, which are bigger.
But I'd like to help and I'd try to make my best.
And I live in the European timezone.
So I apply. _________________ "Ever forward, my darling wind." -Master Yuppa

I think there was a time when a lot of people really wanted to help out, but since for a very very long time, none of their emails were ever answered, they stopped caring and moved on with their lives(and on to other forums).
But it's good to see that some are still vigilant as ever. |

I'd be interested, if you still need people. Preferably either Finished or WIP, as I rarely visit the other forums. |

I think i could be a reliable moderator...i visit the forum daily and always give constructive critiques if anything.
I would prefer to help with the Finished section or Random Musings. I live in Toronto (so which time zone is this? )
But if i dont make it i do have an idea of who could be a mod and who defenitely should NOT. If i see these people post in this topic i will defenitely send word to Dhabih. _________________ Life is a sexually transmitted disease. |

I'll apply. It'll give me incentive to check out the three art forums more.
Longtime members
I've been here for almost a year. That long enough?
Visible members (as in you are a known member of the boards)
I post more in Random Musings than anywhere else. As for the rest, I just browse.
People in Europe/Africa or the Americas (due to time zones, both sumaleth and freddio are in Australia)
I'm in Western Canada.
Non-loudmouths and people who are polite in there posts
I try to be polite, but everyone snaps occasionally. I only do when I'm really REALLY provoked...but as a mod in other places, I just lock the thread temporarily or permanently.
Non-trigger happy types.
I'm not generally trigger-happy. I think.
I try to give feedback too...but sometimes it's a little intimidating to reply to someone asking for help if they're better than you times ten million.
Other stuff...
I'm currently mod at two other forums which I post in and patrol quite often. _________________ ~Gio

Ok, that's it, I'm applying.
I'm sick and tired of seeing flames go on and on. I know the MODS are busy and have a normal life, and it's not entirely their fault.
So, here I am, volunteering to clean this place up. Believe me, I have better things to do with my time, but I just thought I'd give something back to the community that helped me so much. |
