hey, newbie here.
I'm Sebastian and i'm Crrrrrazy about figure drawing. And so should you. I know the naked body can be a boring thing, but then again you learn how to draw. After you learn how to draw, you paint and design gadgets and all kinds of good stuff.
Solid Snake its rough because of the imake size lots to cover, or i'm just not that good or whatever.

Very nice picture, the picture wouldnt show so I thought I was going to help you with that and put it on my domain. I am not showing your picture on my site, it is just a link to my storage. Let me know if I should delete it.
keep it up

I like the picture and I think your colouring is very effective. I can't help seeing a problem with the arm and gun, however. To me, it looks like the hand is in front of the face, and the gun doesn't look right being behind, especially when the head is leaning away from the camera. Something's not right there. _________________ -=-=-=-

i'm not sure what you mean. Maybe thats why its wrong, how would i know right? Maybe i should just draw bad photos reproduction like you do huh? Maybe that would help develop a concept in my mind and develop a strong imagination huh? Thats how you get hire by Marvel or Image Comics, huh? |

Whoa, relax dude. If you post something here, you are giving the message that you are open for comments and critiques of your work. Stop being so defensive.
Oh, and personal attacks don't generally go over well either. Enjoy your stay. _________________ -=-=-=-

yeah bastian.
i too, noticed that. now i wont go into how much i personally dislike always drawing from photos.. but the point Eric Pommer was trying to get at is clearly evident.
i think your colours are kinda nice, but i like mine darker... (not colour, but tone.. darker blue would be nice.. or bluish grey...) but anyway, i am never this defensive about my work nor should anyone here.
i may be a newbie but i can smell and see that kind of attitude fro ma mile away.
PS: About the pose. I side with Eric. He described the 'flaw' exactly how i would have. Change it or not, thats just something i'd like to share with you, and im sure Eric has. No one means to put you down, and after reading erics first post and your reply.. it shocked me enough to put in a word :>
cheers,
kai
hope to see more metal gear solid 2 stuff :> can u draw olga in a sexy pose for me pls? ^-^ |

alright, ok, i`m sorry for my harsh reply eric plummer. I lost control of my emotions. I don`t wont to make myself a bad reputation. We are all artist and some of us wants to make a living with it our goals are mutual. Turning our back to each is being like politicians, but they`re goals usually aren`t mutual. How can you govern a world like that...and huh, whatever. Sorry Eric!
P.S Maybe thats their (politicians) problems in the first place, they don`t wont to deal with their emotions. Huh..whatever. |

Hello again.
I can understand your feelings there bastian. When I post in a forum for the first time I felt totally useless at doing art but after a while I found out that the critique is good. Sometimes when painting or sketching you are looking at the picture and it looks totally ok but the eye somehow adjust the faults in the pictures. So when posting it suddenly appears with comments from others and then you can correct it.
I think that the problem that the others are referring to should be that the right hand kind of blends in with the right shoulder, could be fixed with toning down the shoulder and lit up the right hand a bit under the thumb.
I think the picture is cool and that your anatomy is very good.
Me myself has big ass problems with sketching and painting muscles, just gotta keep pracitising.
ok thats some thoughts from me Matthew.
have a nice day and Merry Christmas
