These are quick sketches of two friends I met on the slope. They are sister and brother. I think that i overworked the guy's flesh tones. I realize now that the best "blocking" involves using a few colours to convey the shape.
OOOOH! I'm starting to get it! Thanks V!!!!
I think that I"ve got the likeness...but would probably work on the lighting.

I think you've done the values pretty well, although the brothers nose looks a little weird. mainly needs to be a more cleaned up as right now its smudgy to the point of being underworked looking. |

uuuuh....yeah. You're right. You caught me on it. That's the part that I"m having alot of problems with...NOSES.

Fixed nose....a fast version anyway...
I still don't think i'm getting it. If anybody can correct it, be my guest.
