Medusas are so cool You did this one very good.

nice!!!
awsome textures, mood and values!
and the way her waste turn from human to snake are very well designed.
only thing that bothers me is the anatomy of the figure. i would think she'd be moer... attractive. she looks disorted and maybe too inhuman. if that was what u meant then it's great.
i'd think that she oughtta look attractive enaugh so her enemies would wanna look at her to become stones (or stoned... whateva') so i'd narrow and lower her waste line, thicker her hands and lower her chest and narrow it as well, so she'll be more feminin. but that's just my ideal woman - thin waste, normal arms and snake-like legs...
oh... that kinda lowers the chances to shag her, doesn't it?
(pardon my misspelling. i speak hebrew usually) _________________ ToPeirA |

Medusa wasn't human in the greek mythology (the deeds of heracles) she was a harpie (if memory doesn't betray me) and not a pretty sight.
The image looks really nice but it seems to lack depth. The wall behind her is rather close and her tail seems almost uncomfortably placed between the stone pole and wall. Her head seems too large for the body and the breasts might be a bit to far up on the chest...and considering her overall skeletal build i even suggest that they ought to be a little less firm. Great job, i always enjoy seeing your art _________________ It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice - Scooter |

Dude I think that it looks cool!
The mood is there and it is a cool topic.
I do think that the background could have more depth because she does look to close to the back wall.
Also thou it is cool to have nipple rings I can't picture this character staying still long enough to have it done and without turning the tatto palora person into stone. But it is fantasy so anything is possible..
-Good work overall! _________________ My Gallerys of Artwork:

Great job on textures! I'd love to be able to do stone like that. My first observation about the anatomy was the right arm, which seems overly short. I agree about the head being too large as well. _________________ -=-=-=-

Thanks for the c&c!
Novacaptain: I agree with your crits. I should have put more time but I was too anxious to finish it and get on with a new piece.
Shadowman: She got the nipple piercings at the local Gorgon tattoo parlor!
Eric: The foreshortening thing on the arm is all screwed up. I'd go back and fix it but I'd rather do a new take on this subject. _________________ Mindsiphon Dark Art |
