just tried to sketch myself.

done with painter and my wacom graphire2 in about 20 minutes

Interesting...I think you should decide on which technique you want to use. The lines in the hair are very precise, and the face is much messier and more free. They don't combine very well. If you are going for a speed painting look, I would suggest starting with a larger brush to block in colour first.
