ouch... never do lensflares. Try using color dodge with your paintbrush to get something really bright looking rather than a lensflare. _________________ http://jcaart.cjb.net |

Bling Bling
I'd suggest putting in an actual sun rather than the built in photoshop lens flare. The colors do fit together much more nicely in the final version though I have to admit. looks cool. |

Now for a real post. The final piece is nice.. although, if you are ever considering that piece to show your work to get a job you will want to show the image without a lens flare. The lens flare is an overused and unfortunately newbie device used to spice up an image. Your pic stands on it's own without the lens flare. It detracts from all of the action ongoing currently in the pic, I'd hate to see you ruin the overall quality of the pic by being stubborn on the lens flare. There is a time and place for the using of Lens Flares and this one is not one of them.
And remember my above statement. |

hmmm, i think u need more detail on the sky, it just doesn't look right with picture. Also the pic's theme looks like a starwars. Anyways nice clean picture! _________________ By fred22smartass

Crit here.
Use a saturation layer and saturate the whole thing. Just enough to tone down the image. Leave colour. Now you need lots of variation in the trea areas and grass. Show us where a clump of trees end and where another starts. rarely does a forest have only on species of tree. Var' that up as well. As the trees go to the background you will find that they desaturate more that way and will hue more towards a pale ultra marine - cobalt blue. The work the contrast baby, work it!!.
Hope this helps you . _________________ ICQ # 84220724

that explosion looks a little strange...i have trouble seeing why the pieces fly out quicker than the explosion expands...and why it is so round. _________________ It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice - Scooter |

i'm just thinking there should be a little more contrast on the robots very close to the explosion. and a little more contrast in general.
i like the motion of the close robot _________________ Life is what you make of it. Mine's a bowl of ice cream. |

It looks nice except the robots dont look very detailed. I think u should make the entire robot the same texture as u made their swords, for that truly looks like metal. As for the lens flare, i hate it. It gets rid of SO much detail that...that...well, u jus cant see a lot of things that u could w/ out it. But i do like how u dimmed the color, but now it seems as though theres not enough of it. |
