Torstein Nordstrand: Thanks for the kind words they mean a lot to me. These are starting to become a bit of a battle I am getting more and more frustrated at my inabitly to see :/. I just can seem to simplify shapes and must go into fine deatils straight aways which is why the colors on my paintings never work together. I spent several hours trying to get one started to day. I got so frustrated I went and watched a wole lot of tv. I had given up but Just before I went to bed I suddenly took it into my head to do one and sat down and painted this in 45 mins. These are become a battle with myself and if it wasn't for trying to post up one a day and your kind words I would have given up by now. Thanks you and everyone else on this journey for giving me the strength to continue.

another quick one 45 mins.

Lionel: have you tried to change your background a bit ?pure white is a mood killer IMHO. keep it up
edit: btw don't put too much pressure on yourself, having fun while doing these works is the best way to come back at it with a fresh spirit the next day. working every day is good, but the progress you'll make won't be linear anyway, keep that in mind in the "necessary" bad days Smile
Chiani : you are productive! maybe give painter a chance once every drawings, I guess you'll find some tools to your tastes in it. your 9/12 is really expressive Smile

...talking about tired face, bloodstone, here's mine:-)
from photo. started as a sketch for a SP, but changed me plans.

Rekz: Nice texture with thous brush strokes

ChiaNi: Looks like you are really starting to master painter. Loved you marker sketches btw Smile. I hope you get better.

ZippZopp: A marked improvement with the last one

Jezebel: Lovely sp I wisth you would wip a quick thing out more often Wink. Wish I could paint hair as well as you.

Tomasis: I lost last night but am back again today Smile. I think I need a good kick up the arse.

Duracel: Wow that won is really cool. I really love the hat you have rendered it just perfectaly.

BloodStone: I really like that one. areally walm expression.

beat: Put a dark background on this one but it was a bit of an afterthough and think it unbalances this pic a bit. I will try to get my colors a bit better balanced in the next. It seems to have been a little less fun recently so I tried relaxing a little more while doing this one and it all came a lot easier. I guess I am getting a little cocky in my old age :/ and expecting a little much. Thanks for the advice. That sp rocks btw Smile I love the little varations in line width.

faB: More keth like headpones Smile. I like headphones as they are much easier to draw than ears Wink

doodle_dude: Nice quick ones Smile.

Wow, some great newcomers. And Chiani is the head honcho of the SP thread Very Happy Have you started doing mirrors? And Lionel, that background is kinda off-white for you Smile It looks very good. How about a very few "wisps" of hair with a small brush on top of that big yellow mass?

here's my second serious attempt at using painter, and it happens to be a self-potrait. a webcam photo was used as reference (taken for this potrait).

it took me a couple hours, which i know is shamefully slow, but hey.. i'm getting there Smile

@bloodstone - really good one, i like to see your next one! Smile

@beat - the last picturelinks of "Legend of the five rings" get a 404Error.
Well, your sketchy-SP is great ... just a few strokes, but really great work.

@faB - as above, great work with just a few strokes ... i habe to try it too

@doodle - great, more as above, im impressed if someone gets a face in some lines. And Number 1 and 2 looks like the same Person!

@Lionel - this one is an improvement! And i agree with Torstein, the hair needs some single strokes.

@Antilles - a little bit faceless, but i like the motion in it.

@Antipro - *uuuuuh cold* well, i like the mood ... and wait for the next attempt. Smile

Well, i wait for my next one too. Wink

[EDIT] - AUGH! I just realized I hit auto-levels before I saved it, and the colours were ALL WRONG! I'm such a moron! Anyway, hit refresh to see how it's supposed to be, if you already saw the BAD version.
