Deus Ex is interesting... I can't tell if it's fun or really boring... it seems like it puts you in places where you have no choice but to shoot people, but you're given next to no ammo. I certainly wouldn't write it off, but my experience playing it hasn't been all that enjoyable.
Just for the curious ... I played it at Game Developer's Conference and E3. I'm an Unreal engine licensee myself, and I don't find Deus Ex all that impressive. It has good texture work and models, but otherwise the visuals aren't that great.

I prefer the more realistic 1st person shooters like Kingpin and Soldier of Fortune...
...but there's one unrealistic shooter which I really love........it's "Redline"...
I like that "Mad Max" style... |
