I'm beginning to work on a series of images for my concentration for the AP Exam at the end of this year (I'm sure many of you know what I'm talking about!), and my subject is nightmares. If anyone has some favorite artist's style or your own style that you think would work well in creepy/disturbing/otherworldly images, I'd love to see it!
Anything works - I'm just looking for ideas - I've got a few sketches and ideas down, but I thought I'd try this forum to see if any of you guys have some input.
Thanks,
-matt |

Brom makes some cool stuff
That said, you could stay away from the stereotypes and do something different.
Nightmares can be very odd situations, the kind that you could see in the 4th dimensions tv series (not sure how its called outisde of europe, its a bit old).
If it really have to be disturbing or otherwordly I remember one of Aphex Twin's videos where all the kids have his adult face.. very creepy ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) _________________ "I'm not a shrimp, I'm a KING PRAWN !" -- Pepe.

strata - wow, cool stuff.. thanks a lot, there's tons here i can draw from... many thanks.
faB - actually, I had Brom in mind already, I'd just forgotten who it was... "Things that bite" was all I could remember. I was going to mention the title but wasn't sure if anyone would recognize it. Thanks! Also: yes, I'm trying to make this as original as possible and steer clear of common images - I want these to stick

I thought that guys art looked a lot like the early final fantasy games! he's the original concept art guy, that explains it. I don't see the dream hunters thing there though |
