Greetings,

It's been some time since my last post. Here is a little something I did. I'm in the middle of designing an old western casino. It's not suppose to be time period accurate. But the player should have the feeling he stepped into the old west.

I sketched up a rough concept of an old western slot machine. My goal is to make it look like it's from the old west but to keep the machine to what the average person is use to seeing today.

After designing it in 3D I decided to make some changes to better suit what people are use to seeing today (that way those smart gamblers don't get all confused). Here is a rough of the slot machine in 3d.

After I was happy with a rough I went into Photoshop and went nuts with the picture. Adding little decors and rivets. Dirt and nails to the wood, ect.

Crits welcome... If anyone has any ideas on what I could add to flavor it up some more please do.

- Shawn

well, what i really liked about the concept drawing was how worn it looks, maybe some cracks in the wood, chipped corner, more scratches and stuff could give it that old western look

but whichever way, i love what you did with it, great 3D modeling and awesome photoshop work on it ^^

Thanks for the comments guys,

Bob: Sorry I wasn't clear enough. The second picture, the rough 3d one. That's the picture I took into Photoshop and worked it till I got the finial. I made all the gold highlights, nails, rivets, reels, wheel icons, dirtied up the wood, and the top and bottom belly glass were all in photoshop.

Thanks for you comments, please keep them coming...
