ooh a naz-gul, they are the coolest monsters from the movie, i love how you framed him with that eery glow around him.
only critique i have is his hand looks kind of odd _________________ From whence i came, I shall return. |

Holy cow! I wish I could do that...you remind me why the imagination of the Lord of the Rings books made them some of my favorites. Anyway, my initial response was stunned and I could not think of any crits readily...perhaps a stronger reflection of the glow on the rider, but since you consider it done I agree! Oh yea! Best image EVER! A naz-gul indeed, or Ringwraith as they are known to some. This kicks so much ass.
Dude, can I have a big version? I soooooooooooo want this for a wallpaper! |

this looks really great. love the angle and perspective. one thing that might be a matter of taste but imho it would look cooler if the horse would have a more dramatic look like open jaw with foam and some more horrified or evil look in the eye, he seems pretty calm right now. maybe some cold breath showing as well?
great job!

Just awesome!...
Maybe the right leg of the horse's is a bit too small. That's all... _________________ The most annoying question for artists? "Who is the person you are drawing?..." AAAAARGH! |

Wicked Stuff Capt.
Not sure if you were trying to get some kind of Fisheye angle on the form, but I agree with ke_kit, The Right leg appears to me to lack muscle and power, The size of the hoof alone looks underweight compared to the size of the head.
I think maybe the head of the cloak looks a little bit thin or at a slightly odd angle, but maybe this is just the way I see the light hit the top of it.
I think you are constantly improving in your digital painting. Excellent work, I look forward to the next one.

That is just brilliant!!
The way you described it, you made it sound like you watched the DVD, then banged this thing out and posted it. How long did this take you to do? |

Thanx dudes and dudettes!
Lomi: didn't know they were called Naz-gul until now, I'll fix the hand for ya!
Twice: you say, you wanna PIECE of me?
Robc: thanx
Merystic: thanx, the most embarassing thing is that I haven't read those books, hehe so now u know...
Hmm I'll se what I can do to the rider and the reflection stuff...
Intuos: Thanx, There's now a link on top with the latest full rez version.
Malachi maloney: merci!
Inspector Lee: cheers!
D.A.R.Y.L: thanx, yeah If I wasn't a chicken I would do that, but I think I'm a bit too uncertain of the anatomy of a horse to do that, have to make some studies
Conor O Kane: thanx!
Jester 1966: thank you, I hate tweaking hehehe
Shamhead: oo thanx man!
Matthew: thank u!
Ke_kit: I thought so too, but the thing is that horse legs are very thin, they look like there's only skin and bones there...I'll look more into that.
BOB: this is my barrel, this is my gun, this is for shooting and this is for fun...1234 US marine core!!!
Keyser: Yeah I'll look into that, like I said to Ke kit.
I kinda scewed the hood deliberatelly, dunno why but I just felt like it.
I'll se what I can do. and thanx for the compliments!
DAs: yeah the images remind me of eachother, but I promised I didn't use that for ref...
Max Kulich: now you're over doing it man haha
robcamp: Grazie!
[666]Flat: I think we haveto agree with das that they look alike, the composition and all, but not color and how the guy is holding the sword
Oki if you say ILM I "want" to believe you hehehehe
strata:
thanx man!
ZakatH: thanx, ok let me guess what's on your desktop... Jennifer Lopez? Latetia Casta? or a Naz....nah impossible...
Themagicpen: thanx man, I like to make things with lifge in them, but It's not that often I can achieve that illusion of life
Cuddly: Actually I wached the first part of the DVD, took a bottle of coke with me and sat down in front of the computer, this one might have taken me about 3 hours. |

THREE HOURS! I just put my fist through my WACOM.
BTW, if you want a great book on horse anatomy "Anatomy of the Horse" by George Stubbs is excellent. _________________ Smokey, this is not 'Nam this is bowling. There are rules. |

kick ass painting! only thing to offer you is maybe taking the trees and curling them in more to strengthen the design. |
