It's been two years since I joined this forum...
man, many things have happened since.
It's weird to think, from the perspective, how this little place has helped me in some ways and how I've met new points of view, cultures and perspectives.
I think I'm more mature now (not that I think I'm mature) and probably this place has helped in it.
I haven't posted many pics, because I'm not good enough to do so, but looking at other people's art, posts, ideas, rants... it's a good experience.
I'd be gladly to read from other people about their experience in this forum, although I know many don't even look at Random Musings, but hey, they are missing a good part of Sijun.
I also have noticed that when I joined there were many good artists that helped new ones, but many are gone now. For some time this place seemed lost to me. But it's not. Today new good artists have joined, and I see really good pictures posted everyday.
Congratulations, Sijun. _________________ "Ever forward, my darling wind." -Master Yuppa

Yeah, I like this forum too (most of the time). I met lots of cool people here, whom I wouldn't've met anywhere else. And sometimes there is really good advice in the art forums, as well. I got some great pointers from people, especially last year when I was just starting with digital art.
I feel rude, though, because I don't always have time to look through all the threads or give a lot of critiques. Sometimes, I even forget the threads I posted and don't answer people's comments (although I have been good about that lately).
Usually, I only give crits to people who ask for them nowadays...partly because of time, and partly because some people seem to get mad if artists who are not at the top of the pile skill-wise presume to critique their work.
Oh, well. Sijun is good. Yep. _________________ Dignity isn't important. It's everything.

Ragnarok... I joined almost at the same time... have the same thoughts as you... I remeber when this place was packed with hope and spirit like my crappiest work got it's praises and I thank you to that that got me on my feet and going...
Then I remember the whole arguement about the golden moments of the forum and things were breaking down I think... that was when I kinda drifted off and went into another world of art... But I often check back here for great work, inspiration, and ideas... _________________ ::A::Y::U::

I've been here for quite some time too, but I'm not sure that I have any thoughts. _________________ . |

Ive been here for longer than most... (I lurked a while) and I gotta say this forum has helped me learn more about art in the almost 3 years Ive been here than I ever learned in my whole life before.
I feel all nostalgic now.. time to go searching through some old bookmarked threads.. ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Well yea, most people lurked for a while before they registered. I saw it's actual inception 3+ years ago. I know Dhabih is member #2, because he made member #1 as a test account. I saw this puppy crawl from Dhabih's womb! ![Razz](images/smiles/icon_razz.gif) |

Socar MYLES: Don't worry about that, you can't comment every single post Thanks for your reply.
dr bang: Me to!
Awetopsy: I concur.
Intuos: I remember a thread long ago that was about that. All kind of weird speculations
Jerry: In my opinion the forums are getting back to when people give comments to everybody. But since we are now like 8000+ members, people usually give comments to that they find worth of it. Not everybody has as much time as they'd like to.
A. Buttle: Maybe... but as long as I'm a happy loser, I don't mind. _________________ "Ever forward, my darling wind." -Master Yuppa

I can't even remember how I found Sijun in the first place. All I remember is posting a couple of crappy pics, getting some great crits and a 'spooging'. From then on got hooked.
I don't know if there was a Golden Age of Sijun, but having been here for a couple of years I'd say things on the forums are pretty good now. Lots of nice work being posted. |

Every time someone refers to getting a spooging, I get the most HEINOUS mental image.
Especially before I figured out what a spooging WAS. _________________ Dignity isn't important. It's everything.

Socar, I did, I still, and will continue to think the same thing everytime that name is mentioned.
I mean, spooge demon?!?! Sounds like something out of some hentai. _________________ . |
