It's been a couple of weeks since my last post. I have busy coloring comics.. crazy deadlines! Anyway, while coloring I found the time to paint this image.. just to do something personal.
It took about 10-12 hours uisng photoshop 7. Comments are welcome. |

I'm stunned, the colourtones on the body is amazing. Great work, you are an inspiration! _________________ "It would be quicker to train an APE!"

Wow!!
Reeeaaally nice body, lighting, colors, idea, pose, composition...
I particulary like the way you made the body look musculous, like she is full of energy to use that lighting, but the face is smooth and pretty yet shows wisdom.
Also, great hair!
If you may accept a small comment, I have the feeling the hair is a bit 2dish, like she hasn't got any on her backhead. Just a small detail.
Thinking about the whole image... in Age of Mythology they could have used your talent to improve their Gods portraits _________________ "Ever forward, my darling wind." -Master Yuppa

The Face is really good, nice details!
I deslike the BG a bit, it is kinda empty. Her hair could use some more detais, also the hair should trow some shadows on the face, would make it more realistic. Probably her PoPo is kinda big, i would like it more sexy.
So, how long it took you to make this one?

Whoaw, great job. The body almost looks like a photo, the hair are great and her face is cool too. So, the only crit was already pointed out one post above, she's not what I would call "sexy" ... maybe you don't wanted her to be?! _________________ Due the lack of interest tomorrow will be canceled. |

Wow...
I've always had a thing against poser models. I never would have guessed that your painting started with one. There are none of those telltale poser artefacts.
In fact, I just brought your painting into photoshop and laid the poser model over it... apart from the general pose, your image bears almost zero resemblance to that poser model. If you corrected all that anatomy from your head, you have an amazing command of the figure and I wonder what you get from the poser model at all?
Beautiful finished looking piece. |

Randis: I tried to minimize the background on purpose, didn't want any attention to be diverted away from the figure. I did this painting for a tutorial on how to digitally paint the human body that will be included in an upcoming book. On another note, I didn't think the butt was that big until you made me notice it... mhh.. I guess I like big butts!
ejwize: Poser was very useful in helping me find a good angle for the pose. Initially I made a line art sketch for the painting, but then I wanted to see if maybe I could find a better angle for it.. so I used poser to experiment. I'll post the initial rough sketch here later.
Thank you all for the comments of course!

It seems like the hair illuminates itself (glowing), but it doesn't illuminate the skin. If it it just the color of hair, it seems like it should be darker in some areas. Does that make sense? |

Faaaantastic colours and lighting on that gal! How do you get away with those random higlights that seem to come from nowhere?! They look great! You sure know your anatomy well to superimpose it on that lousy Poser ref.
Thumbs up! _________________ www.torsteinnordstrand.com |

Rob this is great work and I like the figure very much. The flowing hair and painting style reminds me a bit of Boris.
The only bad note that I don't think that the brown color of the background is very complementary to such a attractive figure.
But overall I'm very impressed. _________________ My Gallerys of Artwork:
